Twinings' Raspberry and Pomegranate Tea

I found this tea to be an absolutely outstanding choice for any fruit tea lovers; it really does tick all the boxes! With Top notes of raspberry and undertones of sweet pomegranate, this tea is certain to quench a need for something fruity.

The deep red colour of this tea is astounding and works really well with our Iced Tea recipe (which you can read here). The scent really captures the expectations of a fruit tea: something deep, rich and mouth-wateringly tasty. Although the flavours in the tea are quite exquisite, they do blend together really well - so don't worry if you aren't a fan of one of the flavours - give it a go anyway!

Although there are many fruit combos in teas all around the world, this is a perfect combination for summer. It really gets me in the summer mood, served over ice with a handful of fruit, or in my favourite mug with a fruit biscuit. Whatever you use to accompany this tea, it's definitely worth snacking over!

Health Benefits of Raspberry and Pomegranate Tea:
-Increase in antioxidants
-Reduces risk of heart attacks
-Helps fight colds and infection

Whittards' Marrakech Mint Green Tea

Although this loose-leafed tea doesn't produce the strongest smell, it definitely makes up for it through its refreshing, minty, sweet taste.

Perhaps not having the strongest smell is beneficial to the tea, as I know many people aren't especially keen on the often strong smell of mint tea. Nevertheless, the fresh smell of mint is distinguishable and the taste of it perfectly compliments the "smoky Gunpowder Green" (as Whittards describes it).

A few warnings;
1-Make sure to find a good strainer otherwise you will end up choking on some loose leaves that have escaped (I know from past experience)
2- Leave the strainer in for about 1-2 minutes otherwise the minty flavour becomes too strong and overpowers the pleasant smoky taste

Health Benefits of Mint tea:
- Relieves bloating, cramping and stomach discomfort
- Aids in relieving coughs and colds
- Aids in weight loss

Lee Rosy's Caramel Tea

This was the first ever loose leaf tea I have used! I was amazed when I opened the packet to find that there were actual pieces of caramel, in between the delicately scented tea leaves! This is a great tea to try if you're just getting started on loose leaf tea.

When I added the tea leaves to the strainer, I found that there were definitely enough caramel pieces throughout to have an even distribution. Once you add the hot water, the tea turns a beautiful caramel brown and the scent is amazing. The longer you leave it to brew, the more the caramel chunks melt into the water - adding a natural sweetness to this tea.

Just a warning, this tea is very sweet on its own! So if you don't like your tea too sweet, don't add any sugar - and if you don't like sweet teas at all, perhaps avoid this tea. Otherwise, the tea is absolutely lovely, a beautiful drink to have in the garden or sitting at a dinner party; as the sweet flavour is very uplifting.

Health Benefits of Caramel Tea:
- Lowers cholesterol (in moderate consumption)
- Helps battle stomach pains
- Aids in the prevention of breast cancer
- Relieves asthmatic conditions

Whittards' Jasmine Dragon Pearl Green Tea

I was given the Dragon Pearl tea as a gift and honestly knew nothing about it, apart from the fact that it is basically lots of tiny balls of tea. I was very keen to try it because;
1- they seemed really cool and new
2- I love Jasmine!

After adding hot water to the 'pearls' and leaving them for 10-15 minutes (depending on how strong you like your tea), I was astonished to discover that the tiny pearls had expanded into a full-size tea leaf and produced the intense, sweet smell of Jasmine, which I personally love. The smell was truly a gift from God (Jasmine originates from the Persian word Yasmin which means "a gift from God").

Due to my love of Jasmine Green tea, I'm rather fussy when it comes to tasting it. However, these Dragon Pearls seemed to capture the aromatic, natural scent of Jasmine perfectly and I may even go as far as saying that it was the best Jasmine tea I had ever tasted.

Health Benefits of Jasmine Tea:
- Helps prevent and treat diabetes
- Helps strengthen immune system
- Reduces risks of heart attacks, breast and lung cancer
- Aids weight loss

Celestial Seasonings Blueberry Tea

Now, could this be my all time favourite tea? Perhaps, or perhaps not. But it's definitely up there with one of the best! It just works, however you use it: Hot, cold, with sugar, without sugar, in a big mug or in a small mug - it really doesn't matter - it just works.

The aroma of this fruit tea is only comparable to a blueberry muffin; it's just that sweet and delicious. As well as this, the deep blue/purple colour of the tea is a gorgeous spectacle to watch brewing. The delicate flavour is as palatable as the scent; with the blueberry flavour bursting through every, single, sip.

I reccomend this tea to anyone who is just beginning their tea tasting adventures. The subtle yet yummy flavour is not too over powering, but just flavourful enough that you get a good idea of how strong a good tea should be. This is probably my favourite summer drink, as it's just so adaptable and really suits whatever mood I'm in.
