What's 'Hot' When it's Hot? Here's What You Should Be Drinking This Summer:

In the summer season, a hot cup of tea is often the last thing on your mind! So what comes to mind when your tea cravings hit, but the weather is preventing you from consuming your favourite beverage... Iced Tea of course!

Now, I hear people saying 'Isn't Iced tea just cold tea? Gross.' or 'Iced tea is nice, but it's too difficult to make at home' or even 'It'll never be as good as the stuff you can buy at the shops, and that's way too expensive!'. Relax fellow tea drinkers. Put the kettle on or prepare some ice, as I talk you through the ins and outs of surviving summer without hot tea.

What is Iced Tea?

Iced tea is as simple as it sounds, a tea prepared hot or cold, and then served over ice! Although some people specially brew their own iced tea in a long and complicated method, it often doesn't yield good enough results to be worth the effort. Preparing all the ingredients, waiting for the tea to brew (for hours), letting it cool (for hours), getting impatient and drinking the whole thing lukewarm (in seconds). Doesn't sound great really does it? We have a much better, FULL PROOF way of brewing any flavour tea imaginable. And we guarantee it will take you less than 5 minutes to prepare.

Our Method for the Best Iced Tea

A glass or pitcher (depending on how thirsty you are)
A handful of ice cubes
Your favourite tea (Only tested in bag form, although loose leaf could work too!)
A stirring device (optional)

1. Add a handful of ice to a pitcher or glass, changing the amount of ice dependant on the size of the container - we recommend that you fill one-quarter of the container with ice, as a rough estimate.

2. If you're anything like us, you'll spend the next few minutes fussing about your tea cupboard, deciding which tea you want to have today. Once you've decided, place the tea bag in the container (I told you it's an easy recipe!)

3. Fill the container with water and leave to infuse (or speed up the process by stirring). Just beware that the water will not infuse as rapidly as it does in hot water, but watching the tea gradually deepen the water is captivating!

4. Pour the liquid into a glass if served in a pitcher, or otherwise drink as is! Simple.
